Golf Simulator Company Reduces Security Risks by 56% with AhnLab XDR!

Golfzon, a leading company specializing in golf simulators (GS), adopted AhnLab's security solutions to strengthen its organizational security and provide safe and reliable services to its customers. Following a ransomware incident in 2023, Golfzon deployed AhnLab EDR and EPP solutions across its internet network, IDC, AWS, and electronic financial networks. Challenge

On November 23rd, Golfzon was attacked by a ransomware attack group ‘BlackSuit’. This attack caused service disruptions and stolen information was subsequently exposed on the dark web. The threat actor exploited authorized user privileges and continuously launched additional attacks. Golfzon needed a system that could not only respond to and block these threats preemptively, but also needed to handle and respond to individual events from multiple security solutions.

 

Benefits

After introducing AhnLab XDR, Golfzon's overall security posture has improved. Through correlation analysis of various security solution logs centered around AhnLab XDR, Golfzon was able to minimize false positives and resource inefficiency while establishing an effective security framework. As a result, they achieved improvements in blocking suspicious malicious IP access, abnormal VPN logins, and brute force attacks, resulting in a reduction of 56% of security risks. Additionally, the productivity of security personnel increased, and data efficiency was enhanced via the data hub.
