AhnLab AIPS VM provides an intuitive dashboard offering real-time visibility into “Traffic Trends”, “Attack Detection Trends”, and “Real-time Detection/Response Status”. By presenting different types of statistical graphics, the cloud IPS allows users to intuitively learn about the real-time status of cyber-attack detection. It also offers a comprehensive summary of essential data, including system resources. In addition, the widgets provide links for easy access to the detailed information.

From the dashboard, you can check:

  • Traffic trends, detection/response trends, real-time detection & response status
  • Statistics on the attack trend
  • System information and system resource usage
  • Quick access to detection details and statistical graphics

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

AhnLab AIPS VM is the cloud-optimized version of our network intrusion prevention system, AhnLab AIPS. It is designed to detect and block attacks that breach the cloud network perimeter and plague the customer’s cloud environment.
AhnLab AIPS VM utilizes technologies such as packet inspection, signature-based detection, behavior-based detection, and malware detection to prevent all types of malicious operations. Unlike firewalls, which filter packets based on the 5-tuple, IPS inspects both the header and payload of packets, detecting and blocking threats based on pattern matching.
AhnLab AIPS VM is currently available on NHN Cloud and KT Cloud. As for the private cloud, it is compatible with KVM and OpenStack. We plan to continuously expand support for additional CSPs and hypervisors.
AhnLab AIPS VM is a clout-optimized version of our network IPS, monitoring all incoming traffic into the VPC and defending against attacks that breach the cloud network. On the other hand, Host IPS is deployed in endpoints such as servers, monitoring only the inbound and outbound traffic of dedicated endpoint devices. Although their detection methods are similar, their targets and purposes are different. Therefore, Network IPS and Host IPS are most effective when used together.

AhnLab delivers both cloud network IPS (AhnLab vAIPS) and host IPS (as a part of AhnLab CPP) for complete cloud network intrusion prevention coverage.
