AhnLab provides ‘BETTER’ Security Insights across APAC
RSA Conference 2019 Asia Pacific & Japan, a global security conference, was held from July 16th to July 18th at Marina Bays Sands Convention Center in Singapore. Approximately 3,000 participants of 75 APAC security organizations attended the event. AhnLab introduced its well established security products, such as AhnLab EDR, MDS, Sefinity AIR, and the Managed Security Service for cloud at the event.
Having been held for the past 7 years, RSAC 2019 APJ’s this year’s theme was ‘BETTER’ to create a ‘BETTER future’ and to create a safer world with ‘BETTER methods.’

There were a total of 107 sessions with 6 different tracks including ’Analytics, Intelligence & Response’, ’Cloud, Mobile & IoT Security’, ’Human & Process Security’, ’eFraud, Threat & Law Enforcement’, ‘Global Perspectives’, ’Policy, Government & Regulations’, ’Strategy, Architecture & Data Security’. There were also Learning Labs for ‘Holistically Mitigating Human Vulnerabilities’ and ‘Attack, Advanced Distributed Forensic Collection and Analysis’ professionals.

A 17-year-old student and CEO of Bits N’ Bytes Cybersecurity, Kyla Guru, lead the keynote speech. Kyla emphasized the importance of security education, stating that the end-users are the main cybersecurity vulnerability.
Kyla stated, “The younger generations spend over 80% of their time online. Thus, they must be well-educated to make better decisions and to protect themselves from cybersecurity threats.”

AhnLab presented at the Demo Theatre about ‘Endpoint as the last line of Defense: The reality of Threat Response’ to demystify truths and myths about EDR and the latest trend of threat response. “AhnLab EDR lowers the cost of security incidents and provides more visibility for powerful endpoint threat detection,” stated Vincent S.K. Lee, Senior Director of Endpoint Business Division. Vincent continued to emphasize that AhnLab FOCUSes (File, Operation, Compatibility, Unified Management, Services) on providing better visibility through EDR.

Security vendors including Microsoft, RSA, Splunk, Carbon Black, OneTrust, Tanium participated in the booth exhibition to introduce the latest security solutions and services. Amidst the 75 vendors, only Microsoft and RSA provided individual demo theatre to actively promote their solution.

AhnLab introduced AhnLab EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response solution), AhnLab MDS (Malware Defense System for APTs) and AhnLab Sefinity AIR (Automated security for threat response orchestration). Frost & Sullivan and Gartner analysts visited AhnLab’s booth along with APAC customers across Singapore, India, Philippines, Malaysia and more.
AhnLab plans to continue strengthening its security solutions, such as EPP, EDR, SOAR, for their APAC customers as well as participating in global conferences and partner training. AhnLab will attend the SICW (Singapore International Cybersecurity Week) 2019 in October to revisit APAC customers.
