Global Cybersecurity Enlightened by Power of Visibility
A global cybersecurity conference, RSA Conference 2017 Asia Pacific & Japan (RSAC 2017 APJ), was held in Singapore from July 26 to 28. More than 120 IT security vendors attended the event and introduced various technologies and products. Over the three day event, vendors and field experts presented on this year’s session tracks to share in-depth knowledge on global cybersecurity trends and threats targeting Asia.
At this event, AhnLab introduced and demonstrated AhnLab MDS (hereinafter referred to as MDS), an advanced threat protection solution. MDS enables an effective remediation by providing visibility of a security breach and the attack flow from malware inflow for endpoints and network. Quantum Learning, a machine learning-based threat analysis technology developed by AhnLab, enhances the effects of MDS.
A real-time responses of MDS was positively received by potential clients and company representatives from all over Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong- countries with a high interest in ransomware and advanced threat protection. MDS not only prevents the occurrence of a ‘first victim’ but stops malware propagation before it reaches internal endpoints with its agent-based Execution Holding function and the virtual machine-based analysis. Participants were highly interested about the upcoming release of MDS, scheduled for September, which provides intuitive GUI and administrator page to provide a visible and detailed information of a threat and also real-time response to malware intrusion and propagation.
In addition, analysts from the prestigious research firms, Gartner and Frost & Sullivan visited the booth and discussed product competitiveness and global market strategy.
AhnLab’s local partner, Delteq also participated in the event. Founded in Singapore in 1992, Delteq is a system integration service provider with over 450 employees. Delteq’s main market is Singapore and Indonesia, and has various clients from government agencies, financial institutions to manufacturers. Based on Delteq’s reputation in the Southeast Asian market, AhnLab is planning to accelerate its acquisition of clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam by partnering with local APAC companies.
AhnLab will continue its marketing efforts with conferences and seminars to expand its brand awareness in the APAC region, and continue to pursue global markets with its malware analysis and countermeasure technology.
